THE POWER OF WORDS; WATCH YOUR TONGUE AND SPEAK LIFE.

The words we speak are very powerful and real. The world was framed by the WORDS of God. Jesus healed the sick, raised the dead and performed mighty miracles through His spoken words.
Genesis chapter 1 tells us the world was without form and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep until God started speaking.."let there be light, let there be firmament in the midst of the water,  let the earth bring forth living creature after its kind"...and everything fell in place as He declared them. Creation came into being at His command.

Our words have great influence. We were created in God's image and likeness and that same power is invested in our tongue as well. The scriptures tell us in Proverbs 18:21 "life and death are in the power of the tongue..." You have the ability to speak forth as your Father speaks, the power to frame your world and speak life to every situation around you. You can speak the things you want into existence in accordance to His will.  You can also bring evil upon yourself with your spoken words.

A familiar account recorded in1 Samuel Chapter 17 portrays the power of spoken words. One effective weapon that brought Goliath down outside the sling and the stones were the spoken words released by David before throwing the stones. In the realms of the spirit, Goliath was already a dead man by the utterance of faith. It was a battle of words and David chose to speak forth in faith framing his words to what he wanted to see -Victory!

Caleb and Joshua  in the book of Numbers chapter 13 were aware and saw the giants in the land of Canaan; when others lamented that  they would not be able to defeat the inhabitants of the land, Joshua and Caleb said "we should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it" -Numbers 13:30. They refused to see the magnitude of the problem but spoke victory by faith.

There is great power in your tongue and my question to you is: what are you saying? What are you declaring in the face of trouble? When your world is void and hope seems lost, when sickness and disease rages against you or your loved ones, what do you declare? In the face of trials and temptation, at your work place, finances and your life, what are you declaring? Are you framing your words with the word of God in faith or speaking defeat?

The scriptures tells us in Mark 11:23"...whosoever shall SAY to this mountain, be thou removed and be cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he SAYS shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he SAYS".

When life hits you hard, DECLARE God's word in faith and never speak defeat for the integrity of God's word can never be challenged. Keep speaking and there shall be a performance.

  1. Proverbs 18:20 says "A man's stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; From the produce of his lips shall he be filled" if you speak it, prepare to receive it. This is what this verse says. So if you speak positive or negative, be prepared to receive what you say. Like when the Israelites said they couldn't possess the land, despite the fact that Caleb and Joshua said they could, the others received what they said, they didn't possess the land and died in the desert as spoken. We should keep practicing and strengthening our positive speaking and before long, it would become a part of us. It is well.
