Palm trees are built to withstand the strongest of storms. While all of the other trees snap in the deadly hurricanes, the palm trees bend and even become stronger! A little research provided more insight: The trunk of a pine or oak tree grows in a radial pattern; the annual rings effectively make a series of hollow cylinders inside each other. Meanwhile, the stem of a palm tree is made of many small bundles of woody material, which likens to the bundles of wires inside a telephone cable. (TreeHugger).
The bible tells us in Psalms 92 that the righteous shall flourish like a palm tree.
We go through much pain, struggles, sicknesses and even diseases like we have presently all around the world but as blood bought children of God, the scriptures tells us we flourish like the palm tree. Yes, we might be hit with the storms of life and it may seem like all hell is breaking loose. Even when we feel defeated and can't make sense of what is going on anymore; remember, we flourish like the palm tree!
Jesus didn't promise us a life without troubles but He assured us that in ALL, we are more than a conqueror through Christ! “Psalm 46 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The reality is that there will be difficult times, but God promises to be our refuge. When buildings are crumbling, plagues like the Corona virus is ravaging the nations of the earth and our world feels like it is shaken to its foundation, God has not failed us. He has promised to be with us in the middle of tragedy. We sometimes think that when we find ourselves in difficult circumstances that we haven fallen so short of His grace and God has abandoned us, but this is not the case.”
The senior choir, at Harkins’s request, sang “God Leads His Dear Children Along.” It was written by George Young after his home was burned to the ground: “Some through the water, something through the flood, some through the fire, but all through the blood. Some through great sorrow, but God gives us a song in the night season and all the day long.”
Job as recorded in the bible faced so much troubles but He held unto God's able hands to rescue Him and God brought him out of all His troubles. Psalms 34:19 tells us: many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivers him from them all.
Though you might not be able to explain what you are going through now, it seems victory is far from what you see, God is your help and He will come though for you! Rememeber, greater is He that is in you than the giant you seem to be facing.
2 Corinthians 4 reminds us: for our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.... You will come out stronger, better and victorious! You are wired for success!
Like a Palm tree, we rise again!
