The Audacity of Faith

Audacity as described in the English dictionary is a willingness to take bold risk or steps.

I remember a story I heard long time ago about a little boy that was constantly harassed by a much bigger kid in school. After several weeks, this little boy was walking with his older brother when the bigger kid that harasses him ran into them. Immediately, the little boy went up to this bully, confronted him boldly for the first time. The older kid wondered where the boldness came from and when he realized the little boy was not just walking alone but with his older brother, he didn’t bother to say a word but quickly ran away.

The little kid was the same kid that had been harassed but this time around, he knew he was not alone and that gave him the audacity to confront the bully for the first time. He knew his older brother was with him and had faith in his brother’s power to protect him if the bully tries anything. He had the audacity to face the bully!

Another interesting story is David and Goliath as recorded in I Samuel 17. Goliath kept tormenting the army of God and asked for someone to engage him in a fight. The Bible recorded that he was a champion who was six cubit and a span. He was a trained fighter and had an undefeated record. Oh how he harassed the the army of Israel daily and terrified them greatly.

David went to deliver lunch to his brothers and heard this giant harassing the army again. As young as David was, he decided to take the challenge to fight Goliath. Was David crazy? Did he not see the giant nor heard about his track record? NO! What gave David that audacity to even think let alone take the challenge to fight this great giant? The answer is Faith! Faith in the all powerful God that never fails and never looses a battle. Faith in a God that cares and fights for his own always!

David was so audacious and told Goliath “you come against me with swords, spear and javelins, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel who you have defiled”. This day, the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head…..”(I Sam. 17:45-47) As David prophesied, he killed the giant with just his slingshot and stones.

Faith is total confidence in God in what we hope for and the assurance that the Lord is working, bringing forth our answers even when it doesn’t look like it and we cannot see it. Faith is the power that makes us audacious when faced with any obstacle in life knowing well that God has got our back and will not let them triumph over us.

There is an audacity that knowing God gives: a boldness that makes you dare things that looks physically impossible. Scriptures tell us “With God, all things are possible”. We are Christlike and should reflect Christ in all we do. We can call things into existence by faith. Faith does not beg nor fear nothing instead faith dares the impossible, it bold and audacious! Never accommodate any idea of impossibility knowing that ALL things are possible with our God.

Are you faced with any giant in life? Health challenge, loss of a loved one, marital trouble, career issues etc? Are you afraid of tomorrow and what it might bring? Is there a situation that looks insurmountable starring your face daily, I dare you to trust God. I dare you to depend on God’s power to bring you victory. I dare you to look up to the hills for there comes your help. Begin to act like your answers are here. Faith speaks so you cannot be silent. Begin to declare your expectations and thank God in advance for the answers.

The integrity of the word of God is what gives faith it’s power. Look for what God says about your situation. Look for a promise in God’s word to hold on to in prayer. Pray the word of God and remind God of His promises. Faith is one of the rules of engagement in the Kingdom. It is the currency for any transaction in the kingdom we belong. Faith can buy back your health, bring you back into alignment with God, bring your career and business to manifestation and stop the work of the wicked in your life and family.

God has never failed, His words are yea and amen and your case is not too hard for God to handle. He gave David victory and I know my God will grant you countless victorious too. This is the victory that overcomes the world, even your FAITH!!

 Have Audacious Faith!
